Answer: Sample design Primary and secondary research will be undertaken as a part of the research so that more information can be collected about the recruitment business in hospitality industry. A detailed insight into the research strategies that were used are discussed below. Secondary research was conducted by way of going through plenty of journals, newspapers and books. This helped one to collect lot of information about the business that can be set in the near future. This helped the researcher to get plenty of ideas rather than that of being dependent on experience. The researcher can also learn from the mistakes that were done by the other entrepreneurs and hence, they can avoid further losses. Apart from the secondary sources of research, primary sources were also used extensively. The researchers met few of the entrepreneurs from the recruitment industry. There were plenty of things which werent possible to understand with the help of secondary research and hence, the researcher clarified their doubts by meeting up with the entrepreneurs. Few of the practical questions helped the researcher to get an idea about setting a business. The researcher tried collect maximum information about funds so that the research can make arrangements for the funds before they start with business. Limitations of research The researcher wanted the research to be perfect and hence, they tried their level best. To collect maximum information, the researcher conducted primary as well as secondary research. Even after so much of efforts, it was seen that there were certain other limitations which the researcher could not avoid. Few of the limitations associated with the research are as follows: - 1. The time period available to complete the research was limited and hence, the researcher wasnt able to continue all that they had planned. 2. Most of the entrepreneurs werent willing to meet up with the researcher and hence, the researcher was left with no option but to consider only the points of the entrepreneur who was ready to meet them. 3. The entrepreneurs werent willing to provide complete information about their achievement and struggles and hence, the researcher was not having complete information about the business that was set. 4. The research was qualitative in nature and hence, the researcher could not completely collect data that can help the researcher with facts. 5. The perception of the researcher creates a direct impact on the result of the research. In fact, perceptions also differ of the entrepreneur and the researcher may not be in sync with that of each other (Stone 2001). Analysis of the result Activities at the recruitment agency Plenty of activities will be undertaken at the recruitment agency on day-to-day basis. It is very important for the researcher to understand to look for people who can undertake the various activities. Few of the regular activities that will be undertaken by the recruitment agency in hospitality industry are discussed below. First and foremost, the recruitment agency needs to understand that one client is different than that of the other. The recruitment agency can share their recruitment process with the client. The resumes will be downloaded and the recruiter will have a word with the candidate to ensure that the requirements of the client and the requirements of the candidate are in line with that of each other. All the candidates whose qualifications are in sync with the clients requirement will be lined for an interview. The initial screen will be taken care by the recruitment team. This will help the recruiter to understand the seriousness of the candidate towards the position. After the recruiter is sure that the client is genuine and his requirements are in sync with the requirements of the client, the candidate will be lined up for a second round of interview with the client. For one position, at least five people will be lined up. If the client doesnt like all five then the recruiter will have to line up more candidates. If the client likes the candidate then they will talk to the candidate for a final HR round of interview wherein salary negotiation will place. If the candidate is fine with the salary that the client is offering then the candidate will be offered. Once the candidate is offered, it is the responsibility of the recruiter to ensure that the candidate joins the client. The recruiter will continuously be touch with the recruiter. This will help the recruiter to ensure that the candidate will take up the opportunity. If the recruiter thinks at any point of point that the candidate may not join then the candidate should be asked to revoke the offer and the recruiter will start looking for some other candidate for the same position (Hursh 2010). Why hospitality industry needs recruitment agencies? It is the responsibility of the recruitment agency to talk to the client and ensure that they need a recruitment agency that can take care of their recruitment requirements. Few of the reasons due to which the companies in the hospitality industry should outsource their recruitment work to the agency are discussed below. Recruitment is one of the most common activities that will be undertaken by every company so one thing is for sure that the companies in hospitality industry will also be doing recruitments, frequently, every now and then. If the recruitment task is outsourced to the recruitment agency then the company need not have an internal team to take care of recruitment. The recruitment agency can work as per the clients requirement and hence, even during peak seasons, all the positions will be efficiently closed. In case of absence of marketing, the prospective clients will not be aware of the recruitment agency and hence, even if the client has a requirement then they will go ahead with some other recruitment agency. Few of the sales strategy that can be used by recruitment agency to attract more clients are discussed below. It is always better for the organization to have a sales team in place. The only responsibility of the sales team would be to get in clients. The sales team should consist of people who are very passionate about sales rather than people who got into sales as they couldnt get into something else. The sales professionals in the recruitment agency should send out mailers to the client regarding the services that the recruitment agency can provide. These mailers should be sending out at regular intervals so that the client can remember this recruitment agency. Even if there is no requirement at this point of time, the HR professional should consider the recruitment agency when the requirement prevails in the organization. The recruitment agency is new in the market and the agency should always remember that there are already plenty of recruitment agencies in the country. To start with, the recruitment services should be provided to the clients at an affordable price so that many companies are motivated to outsource their recruitment process. She is often portrayed as an egoistic personality, yet there can be much more dug up to help us better understand her character. LinkedIn Changes Whats New on LinkedIn in December 2017 I havenââ¬â¢t provided an update on whatââ¬â¢s new on LinkedIn for about six months. The time has come! As you may remember, Microsoft purchased LinkedIn in at this time in 2016, and there was much speculation as to the LinkedIn changes that would come. Weââ¬â¢re starting to find out! I believe (pure speculation on my part) that a lot of the LinkedIn changes that happened through May were already in the works prior to the Microsoft acquisition. Hereââ¬â¢s an end-of-year round-up on whatââ¬â¢s happened since then. Youââ¬â¢ll notice a lot of these items are unequivocally a result of the Microsoft + LinkedIn marriage. Others are in the job search and messaging realm, and then thereââ¬â¢s one upgrade to LinkedInââ¬â¢s video capabilities. Iââ¬â¢m curious to know what you think of these changes. Do you think they are improvements to the LinkedIn platform? Microsoft and LinkedIn Integration Features 1. LinkedInââ¬â¢s Profile Card on Office 365 This feature only works if you use Office 365. Personally, I donââ¬â¢t think itââ¬â¢s valuable enough to convince people to get Office 365, but maybe thatââ¬â¢s the idea? Hereââ¬â¢s how it works: You can now connect your LinkedIn account to your Microsoft account. This move gives you access to information about your contacts thatââ¬â¢s sourced from their LinkedIn profile. By hovering over a contactââ¬â¢s name, youââ¬â¢ll be able to see where they work, what they do, and where they went to school. This might seem disturbing, except you do have them in your contacts list already, so theoretically itââ¬â¢s not too creepy that you can easily find out more about them. Use this Office 365 integration to better understand colleagues, customers or partners. Youll get a good foundation to collaborate efficiently, whether they are within or outside your organization. According to LinkedIn (as of September 25, 2017), integrationà withà the Profile Cardà in Office 365à was to roll out inà October onà Outlookà on the web, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business. The LinkedIn integration was then to roll out toà Outlook.com customers, withà Outlookà for Windows, Outlookà forà iOS,à and other Office productsà following. To set up the 365/LinkedIn integration, just open a personââ¬â¢s Profile Card in Outlook and click on the LinkedIn match. Youââ¬â¢ll say ââ¬Å"Yes, letââ¬â¢s goâ⬠when prompted and ââ¬Å"acceptâ⬠in order to view information about your contact. 2.à Desktop App for Windows 10 For those of you using Windows 10, LinkedIn has created a new LinkedIn desktop appà so that you access LinkedIn without having to open your browser. Youââ¬â¢ll get real-time professional updates, including new messages, insights on whos viewed your profile, trending news in your industry and other timely highlights on your professional network.â⬠Youââ¬â¢ll also be able to manage the types of updates you receive. 3.à Find Resume Keywords with Microsoft and LinkedIn After you select your desired role and industry on LinkedIn, Resume Assistant will use the LinkedIn database to identify the skills listed by other similar professionals. You can then add those skills if applicable. (Need a new skill? Maybe you can pick it up with LinkedIn Learning.) Youll also see relevant job listings, along with details of what the job requires, which can be extremely helpful as you tailor your resume to a specific role. Once you turn on Open Candidates, LinkedIn will ask questions about your job requirements that are meant to ensure youââ¬â¢re contacted for positions that fit your interests. On the horizon are ââ¬Å"personalized suggestions to help you improve your profile, as well as unique insights on how much attention youââ¬â¢re getting from recruiters.â⬠If youââ¬â¢re is using these LinkedIn changes, Iââ¬â¢d love to hear what results youââ¬â¢re getting! 5.à Who You Know Can Help You Get the Job Networking has been proven again and again to be the #1 way to get a job. Between 70 and 85 percent of people ended up in the current position due to networking. Thatââ¬â¢s why LinkedIn has made it easy to find out who you know at a company who might be able to help you get your next job. When you look at a job opening or a Company Page on LinkedIn, youââ¬â¢ll automatically see your mutual connectionsà in theà messaging conversation window. Taking these steps is absolutely essential for your job search success! 6.à Profile Access: Hover to Learn More On a related note, LinkedIn had eliminated the ability to hover over people and companies to see more without having to click their profile. Now theyââ¬â¢ve brought it back! Enjoy. 7. LinkedIn Career Advice Want to be a mentor or a mentee? Career Advice helps connect LinkedIn members for mentorship opportunities. To get started, go to the dashboard on yourà LinkedIn Profileà and find the Career Advice hub. From there, enter your preferences for the type of advice youââ¬â¢re looking to give or receive and LinkedIn will recommend appropriate connections. This could be a great way to advance your own career, or to contribute to another professionalââ¬â¢s success. LinkedIn Changes to Messaging Features 8.à Active Status on LinkedIn Messaging LinkedIn changes are making it more and more like Facebook every day. Now you can see whether your connections are logged into LinkedIn. Just look for the green dot next to their profile photo, which indicates theyââ¬â¢re currently online. Maybe theyââ¬â¢ll respond faster if you message them. Maybe not. But itââ¬â¢s always nice to feel like we know what someoneââ¬â¢s doing at any moment, right? 9.à Smart Reply Messages When you receive a message in the LinkedIn messaging app, youââ¬â¢ll be given suggestions on how to reply. Some options are a thumbs up icon, smiley face emoji, and phrases like ââ¬Å"Thanks,â⬠ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re welcome,â⬠ââ¬Å"Good luck,â⬠ââ¬Å"Sure,â⬠ââ¬Å"Not sure,â⬠ââ¬Å"Hi [first name],ââ¬Å" and many other surprisingly responsive canned messages. Warning: If you click on any of those messages, the message gets sent exactly as is, without space for you to add to it. So I almost always forgo the smart replies and write my own message, unless my response is a simple thumbs up. Use these as you see fit. Itââ¬â¢s kind of fun just to see how appropriate (or not) the suggested messages are! LinkedIn Video 10.à LinkedIn Video Sharing videos on LinkedIn has become easier than ever. If youââ¬â¢re on the LinkedIn mobile app, look for the share box at the top of the feed (iOS) or the post button (Android) and tap on the video icon. You can record a video in the app, or upload something you recorded earlier. After you post a video, you can see whoââ¬â¢s viewing it and how many views, likes, and comments itââ¬â¢s receiving.
